Terms of Service

Grandma Famous is operated by Mitch Frei(“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Grandma Famous.

1. What the app does

Grandma Famous helps you keep track of your family: birthdays, gift ideas and purchases, a calendar, dinner plans and recipes, and photo memories. You may also send relatives a private link so they can send you updates about their children.

2. Who may use it

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. The app is intended for personal, family use — not for commercial use, resale, or building a competing service.

3. Your account

You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. Keep access to that inbox secure; anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. A household may share a single account. You are responsible for everything done through your account.

4. Free and paid plans

Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Payment, cancellation, and refund details are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. We may change the price with at least 30 days’ notice by email; you can cancel before the change takes effect.

5. About the AI suggestions

Gift and dinner ideas are generated by an AI model that also searches the web. They are suggestions, not advice, and they can be wrong, out of date, or unavailable to buy. Prices, product availability, and recipe links come from third-party websites we do not control.

Always check details yourself before buying anything or cooking for someone. In particular, confirm allergy and dietary information directly with the people involved. Do not rely on Grandma Famous for medical, dietary, or safety decisions.

6. Your content

Photos, names, notes, and everything else you add remain yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the service — to store, back up, and display your content back to you and to anyone you deliberately share a link with. We do not sell your content, show it to other users, or use it to train AI models.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload, including photographs of other people, and that you have any permission needed from the parents or guardians of children whose information you add.

7. Family update links

When you request an update from a relative, the app creates a private link containing a hard-to-guess token. Anyone holding that link can see the first names of the children in that household and submit updates. Share these links only with people you trust, and by a private channel such as a text message.

8. Acceptable use

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we will tell you why where we reasonably can.

9. Service availability

Grandma Famous is a small app run by one person. We aim to keep it running and your data safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Features may change or be withdrawn. Push notifications depend on your device, browser, and network, and may be delayed or not arrive — do not rely on them as your only reminder for anything important.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost data or missed occasions. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Ending your use

You may stop using Grandma Famous at any time and ask us to delete your account and its data by emailing support@grandmafamous.com. We may close accounts that are inactive for a long period, or that breach these terms, after giving you reasonable notice by email.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will email you or show a notice in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Grandma Famous after that means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
